Life-sciences advisory · Exeter, trading internationally
PROSPER-ID
A life-sciences advisory practice in antifungal drug development. The site has one job: be credible to a pharmaceutical buyer inside the first screen.
The challenge
PROSPER-ID advises pharmaceutical companies on anti-infective and antifungal development. The people who need it are a small, specialist audience (clinical development leads, medical affairs teams) and they arrive already able to tell competence from decoration.
That makes the site's job unusual. There is no volume of traffic to optimise for and no local search to win. There is one visitor who matters, they land once, and the page has to read as a serious scientific practice before they have scrolled.
What we did
4 decisions that made the difference.
Credibility above the fold
A dark, clinical opening built around microscopy imagery, with the proposition stated in the buyer's own vocabulary rather than in marketing language. Hand-written Astro, so the whole thing paints in half a second on desktop.
The offer, laid out plainly
Four service areas: preclinical research, translational development, clinical development strategy, medical affairs, each with the deliverables named underneath. A specialist buyer is scanning for whether you do their specific thing, so the page lets them scan.
A page for the buyer who reads everything
The expertise page carries the focus areas and the points in a programme where this kind of advisory actually gets engaged. It is the page that gets read second, by the person who has to justify the engagement internally.
An NFC card that works offline
This is a business won at conferences, so the site includes a digital contact card: tap a phone against the NFC card and it opens, with call, WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn and a Save contact button that writes straight into the phone's address book.
